Teaching you important, transferable and retainable skills to use now and in the future is part of what makes our Private Practice Business Program unique. Follow our step-by-step Roadmap to develop a foundation for your balanced business.
Step One: Working through the Business Roadmap
Working with your expert business coach and instructor, you will work through the ABC’s of building your practice, such as:
- Envisioning your Goals: Facing barriers, personal obstacles & getting clear
- Understanding the power of “niche-ing”: Defining your unique products & services
- Identifying & implementing critical licensing, compliance & other business requirements often overlooked by practitioners
- Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset: Building awareness & confidence as a business owner
- Learning about unique business basics & trend/shifts within the mental health and wellness industries
- Following the Roadmap of Tasks: Starting the process of building your business foundation (step-by-step)
- Learning required skills & tasks needed in preparation to work with independent consultants you hire to help you with various projects
- Learning the basics of identifying & engaging your target market & ideal clients
- Preparing for the basics of marketing
*For many counselling therapists, this step often qualifies for your licensing body’s annual educational and/or supervision requirement.
Step Two: Building business tools with Independent Consultants as you advance through the program
While moving through the program, you will be required to find the support of independent consultant services to build business tools
- Until recently, we offered a full “GURU team” of in-house consultants that would help our clients do projects like logos, business cards, websites, taxes, etc. We no longer offer this in-house service, but where possible, we can make recommendations to external consultants that can help with these types of projects
- Global Alignment continues to provide the basic foundations of best practices so that our clients are educated and prepared to work with consultants in these various projects
- When viewing our training materials, please note that any reference to a GURU team now means working with an independent consultant of your choice, or as some clients prefer, taking on the project themselves
Program: Self Paced Method
This program is offered in a ‘self-paced’ method, where individuals progress through the trainings at their own pace, with the option to take breaks between training modules.
Program: Group Program Method
This program is also available in September and March at a tremendous discount to students or participants of our “Member Organizations” (groups, schools and associations which advocated the need for business competencies). In this method, a group of participants advance through the 5 training modules (8 weeks per module) without any breaks between modules. View our Member Organization List here.
This program is a pay-as-you-go program, meaning you only pay for modules as you take them, you don’t have to pay the program fee up front, all at once. (*Except where grant funding is applicable.)
